The 2012 Harvest Homecoming is taking place this weekend in New Albany, IN and is sure to provide attendees a family-oriented festival full of fall themed spirit! The parade takes place on Saturday, October 6th while the booths run from Thursday, October 11-Sunday, October 14.
This festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to New Albany every year and has been honored by the Library of Congree Bicentennial Local Legacies Project in 2000. Harvest Homecoming has been triving and growing for 45 years! Originally, it was put together as a means of bringing the people of Southern Indiana togeher to share in its wealth of talent, historic background and beauty.
This year, the 45th Harvest Homecoming Festival will have a "Harvest Goes Hollywood". Some of the events that are taking place include the opening ceremony parade, several crafts and food booths, and a farmer's market.
